Catherine Zeta-Jones is a Welsh actress based in the United States. She was born on 25 September 1969, in Swansea, West Glamorgan, Wales, UK. The daughter of Dai Jones, who formerly worked for a candy factory, and Pat Jones. She has two brother, David and Lyndon. She is of Irish and Welsh descent.


She began her career on stage at an early age. Catherine starred on stage in “Annie”, “Bugsy Malone” and “The Pajama Game”. At 15 she had the lead in the British revival of “42nd Street”. She first made a name for herself in the early 1990's when she starred in the Yorkshire Television comedy/drama series “The Darling Buds of May”. The show was a smash hit and made her one of the United Kingdom's most popular television actresses. Catherine travelled to France where she received the lead role in French director Philippe de Broca's 1001 Nights, her feature film debut. She played supporting roles in several film before landing her breakthrough role in “The Mask of Zorro”. In 2003, she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Velma Kelly in Chicago which also won the Academy Award for Best Picture of that year. She continued appearing in several films and television series. But not only that, she also produces her own films.


In November 2000 she married actor Michael Douglas at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Catherine and Douglas has two kids, Dylan Michael Douglas and Carys Zeta Douglas. She wants her children to know the Welsh Language and grew up aware of their Welsh heritage. She lives predominantly with her family in Bermuda.

Halle Berry is the first African-American ever to win an Oscar as best actress. She won the award on 24 March 2002 for her starring role in the drama Monster's Ball (2001, co-starring Billy Bob Thornton). Halle Berry went from the world of beauty pageants in the mid-1980s to a television series, Living Dolls in 1989. In 1991 she began performing in feature films, including Spike Lee's Jungle Fever. She continued to appear in small roles on TV and on the big screen, notably with Warren Beatty in Bulworth (1998) and as actress Dorothy Dandridge in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999). She played Storm in the X-Men movies (2000 and 2003, with Hugh Jackman) and the lead in 2004's Catwoman. Her other films include Swordfish (2001, with Jackman and John Travolta) and the James Bond thriller, Die Another Day (2002, with Pierce Brosnan). What a rare beauty!!!
